love your podcast...it's a keeper...you have a great podcast voice...smooth and lots to share...thanks for joining the growing group...I am in the USA near Boston, and discovered you from a referral from another podcaster, unsure who...but keep up the good work...very sad Brit Knit Cast has retired from podcasting, glad to see a new Brit take the reins...no stories to share for today, but love to crochet and knit equally, and mix them together whenever possible. thanks again...can't wait for #3...a fan, Melodie
Hello Helda! Greetings from Frigid Chicago! I learned about your podcast from Brianna @ The Crochet Side (podcast) and I think your podcast is great! For as long as I can remember, my grandmother has always crocheted. Over the years, she has probably made hundreds of afghans that were lovingly given as gifts to all of us grandchildren. Sadly, due to failing eyesight, she can no longer crochet. When I was about 15, my younger sisters and I were on restriction for getting poor grades at school, and my mother (who also crochets) decided that in order for the restriction to be lifted, we each had to crochet a scarf that matched our winter coats. I enjoyed making it, but never really pursued it until last year, my fiancee's mother was knitting and asked if I knew how...I said no, that I knew how to crochet. She gave me some hooks and some yarn and it all came back to me. Whenever I crochet, I feel like generations of my ancestors crochet skill runs through my veins. Recently, my older sister picked up an extra ball of yarn I had with me, and a hook and started to crochet, without having done it for years, her stitches were beautiful. All the more reason why I feel like crocheting is in my blood.
